I was hunger-stricken. You know, the feeling of craving something delicious and nostalgic, but you could also eat a horse you’re so hungry. I was the definition of HANGRY.
Problem was, nothing sounded good except a Japanese Curry dish I used to enjoy when I lived in Okinawa, Japan.
Thousands of miles away from what Columbus, OH offered.
So I thought.
In a frantic search, given my hungry state (and a bit of being overly dramatic), time was of the essence; I was on a search for curry in Columbus and stumbled upon my saving grace.
Tensuke Ramen
Tensuke Ramen is a part of the larger Tensuke Marketplace, located at 1155 Old Henderson Rd, Columbus, OH 43220.
I was saved! I immediately recognized the nostalgic dish I had been longing for.
Chicken Cutlet Curry. The deep, rich sauce of the curry, mixed with fluffy white rice and topped with crispy chicken, had my mouth watering from just looking at the picture.
Top it with a little Yum Yum sauce, and it will take anyone from hangry to food coma.
If you aren’t into curry as much, Tensuke Ramen, along with the rest of Tensuke Marketplace, offers many traditional Japanese dishes to choose from.
Raved about as “The Best Ramen in Columbus,” we have to mention the ramen varieties Tensuke offers.
Tonkotsu, Miso, Shoyu, Shio, and Paitan are just some of the rich ramen choices that Tensuke offers. They also have Udon and Beef Curry Udon options.

If you have little ones and are wondering what to get them, my go-to for kiddos is the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. The sweet glaze of the teriyaki sauce over the chicken on a bed of white rice is a fan favorite for my kids.
